Check here often for classroom updates for Ms. Jen and Ms. Joyce's 4 year-old classroom at Hancock County Early Learning Center.
Our class participated in the St. Jude Trike A-Thon today. We had so much fun learning about bike and trike safety, as well as getting to show off what we'd learned. The best part is that we helped to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the great work that they do in cancer research!

Ms. Becky taught us about fairness and helped us decorate eggs for an Easter Tree in guidance.
We planted beans to make our own beanstalks this morning. We have been learning about nature and how plants grow.
Dr. Seuss / Read Across America week was a huge success at HCELC. We would like to take the opportunity to thank our readers, Chris Tankersley, Heather Welch, Denise Davis, and Fred Tankersley, for taking the time to read to our class!
Thanks to a few days of snow, we were finally able to have our class Valentine's Party and February Birthday Celebration. Our class would like to send a big thank you out to the parents who sent us cookies, chips, brownies, cupcakes, and juice. We enjoyed it!
Ms. Jen's Class celebrated the 100th day of school on Thursday, February 4th, due to snow days. The class had fun stringing 100 paper clips, making a 100 link paper chain, and popping 100 balloons. They also had a special snack (popcorn party) for the day. The students had a blast doing these projects, and we even used the popped balloons to make an art piece!
Welcome back to school! We hope you enjoyed your winter break! If weather allows, we will celebrate our 100th day of school on Monday, January 25th.
Reminders: If school is on a 2 hour delay, our morning buses will not run, but evening buses WILL run as scheduled. HCELC operates on the same snow schedule as the rest of Hancock County Schools.
